From their Lincolnshire backyard, an amateur photographer and his daughter have been taking amazing pictures of space.
Crowland resident Kevin started astrophotography two years ago as a means of strengthening his relationship with Isabelle, age nine.
According to NASA, the two recently took a picture of the Whirlpool, also known as Messier 51 (M51), which is located 31 million light-years from Earth and depicts the collision of two galaxies.
The former soldier described taking pictures of planets, stars, and other far-off things as “epic and humbling” in an interview with the news.
In order to give himself and his daughter something in common, Kevin wanted to take up a hobby.
