When Project Waterworth, which connects the US, India, South Africa, Brazil, and other places, is finished, it will be the longest underwater cable project in the world, according to the tech giant.
The company that owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, Meta, has worked to increase its footprint in technology outside of social media by getting involved in artificial intelligence (AI) and the supporting infrastructure.
It said that its new cable project would boost its AI initiatives and offer “industry-leading connectivity” to five main continents.
