The Indian space industry has experienced tremendous growth since the government of that country allowed commercial participation in June 2020. Around 200 start-ups and nearly 400 established businesses have sprung up all throughout the nation.
Pixxel Space, a Bengaluru-based company, offers its customers precisely this kind of information.
Its hyperspectral satellite cameras are capable of identifying subterranean oil leaks, undetectable gas leaks, agricultural illnesses and pests, crop and soil health, and moisture content in a forest that may eventually light up.
Awais Ahmed, the 26-year-old creator and CEO, tells News that “human eyes can see objects in the visible range, such as red, green, and blue.”
“Hyperspectral cameras divide the visible and infrared light into hundreds of minuscule wavelengths that occur continuously in the natural world.
“That splitting will tell you exactly what species of crop is growing or what gases are being leaked, and you know whether it’s an underground oil leakage or something else.”
