Wednesday marked the arrival in Islamabad of a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia, headed by Minister of Investment Khalid Abdulaziz Al-Falih, on a three-day visit with the goal of negotiating investment deals with Pakistan.
Upon reaching Nur Khan Air Base, the party was greeted with great warmth by key officials, including Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal and Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan. Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan, was also present at the reception.
Up to 30 deals could be signed by the Saudi team during the visit, which could bring $2 billion into a number of industries, including power, construction, agriculture, information technology, and building materials.
