Extra Meetings Judge Muhammad Farid was fired at by armed attackers in the Chohar Sharif neighborhood of Haripur, seriously wounding him.
After being attacked as he entered a mosque, the judge was taken right away for medical attention to a nearby hospital.
Judge Farid was en route to offer his prayers when the tragedy happened, according on police accounts. The attack has prompted the police to open a prompt investigation and file charges against the perpetrators.
