In 2019, Ben Horne, 34, began experiencing seizures while undergoing a pharmaceutical switch.
Henry, his 10-year-old dog, was frightened by what was happening and chewed off part of his chin, his bottom lip, and his nose during one of these seizures.
Since the dog was a puppy, Mr. Horne, of Yeovil, Somerset, had owned it, describing it as his best buddy.
Speaking with Sarah-Jane Mee of News on her program The UK Tonight, Mr. Horne recounted the moment he came to.
“You’re very confused and disoriented when you wake up from a seizure—you don’t know what your name is, where you are, or anything like that,” he stated.
“After a while, I kind of woke up and realized there was a lot of blood.” There was blood everywhere in the house when I completed a couple laps around it.
“I hazily recall seeing something unpleasant when I looked in the mirror. I realized I couldn’t actually talk when I called for an ambulance, even though I knew this beforehand.
