According to The News, a 34-year-old man named Qazi Waqasuddin passed away on Saturday while being held by Karachi’s Preedy police after being involved in a traffic accident on Friday.
Following his murder, Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar, the home minister of Sindh, and the chief of police in Karachi demanded a transparent investigation and suspended nine police officers.
On Friday, two motorcycles crashed close to the MA Jinnah Road traffic signal. The two vehicles then argued, which resulted in a violent assault.
Police Constable Muhammad Usama and his companion Muhammad Sahabi were riding their motorcycles when two guys on a motorcycle traveling at a fast pace on the wrong side collided with them, according to the FIR that was later filed at the Preedy police station.
