ISLAMABAD: A suspect from Bani Gala has been taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle Islamabad on suspicion of launching a hate campaign against government institutions.
The suspect allegedly disseminated propaganda and disparaging material about the Jaffar Express incident, according to the FIA.
According to the FIA Cyber Crime Circle, the suspect used social media to advertise and promote organizations that were prohibited.
As part of the investigation, authorities have taken the suspect’s digital evidence and social media accounts.
On March 11, the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) attacked the Jaffar Express, which was headed to Peshawar, by detonating a train track. The BLA then kept about 440 passengers hostage for more than a day in a remote mountain pass.
