The unidentified Mega Millions winner, who is thought to be from Maine, is thought to have won the fourth-largest jackpot in US history last year (about £1.07 billion).
However, since then, the tale has only gotten more complicated, and according to US media source The Daily Beast, the man is currently embroiled in legal disputes with two members of his family.
He is reported to have filed a lawsuit against his daughter’s mother, claiming that she had violated a non-disclosure agreement by disclosing his newly acquired fortune to other family members.
The lottery winner also allegedly demanded hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines, alleging that his child’s mother had disclosed his large windfall to his father, sister, and stepmother.
