Official identification of the two individuals has not yet taken place, but Staffordshire Police has identified them as 24-year-old Daniel Duffield from Cannock and 22-year-old Lauren Evans from Bridgend, South Wales.
According to the force, paramedics discovered their bodies at a house on Alpine Drive, Hednesford, Cannock, on Tuesday at about 12:30 p.m.
Because of “recent police contact” regarding the deaths, Staffordshire Police claimed that it has reported itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
In a Facebook memorial, his sister Chels Louise said, “Never ever thought I’d have to write this.”
I will never be able to accept that you are no longer with us. You were such a kind person, always making other people laugh and smile, even saving lives, yet you were unable to save yourself.
You were the best brother I could have ever wished for, and I will always treasure our time spent growing up with. 24 RIP Daniel Duffield Until we cross paths again, my love and affection for you will never fade, my dear brother.
