Since September 2023, Pakistani security services have carried out massive anti-drug operations all around the nation, leading to significant drug seizures and arrests.
According to the most recent estimates, 1,883 drug dealers have been arrested worldwide and 1,049.78 metric tons of various narcotics have been seized by authorities. 9.25 metric tons of opium, 3.66 metric tons of heroin, 47.84 metric tons of hashish, 3.83 metric tons of methamphetamine, and 985.20 metric tons of other illegal drugs are among the seizures.
Significant drug seizures occurred in all provinces during the recent operations that ran from September 1 to September 10: 278 kg in Balochistan, 23.63 kg in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11.14 kg in Gilgit-Baltistan, 226.31 kg in Punjab, and 27.73 kg in Sindh.
