The relatives of the victims announced on Sunday that the bodies of a newlywed Karachi couple who perished from suffocation in Athmuqam, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), would be moved to Karachi today.
After their wedding and valima on February 4 and February 8, respectively, the couple, who went by the names Taha and Dua Zehra, left Karachi for AJK on February 11. The former was a mechanical engineer, while the latter was a BBA student.
The news follows the police’s announcement on Saturday that their remains had been discovered at a Neelum Valley guest home.
According to the deceased’s family, they last spoke with Taha about 9 p.m. on Friday.
They stated that the pair was expected to leave on Saturday morning for Neelum Valley.
