For the first time in Pakistani history, a woman, Alizey Khan, founder of the Ruhil Foundation, received the Diana Legacy Award.
She got the award from Prince William during a ceremony in London on Thursday (March 14th).
Alizey, 26, has received the highest award available to a young person for social or humanitarian work.
The Legacy Awards are presented every two years to recognize the accomplishments of 20 young leaders from throughout the world.
The legacy award commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Diana Award, a foundation founded in remembrance of Diana, the late Princess of Wales, and her conviction in young people’s ability to change the world.
