RAWALPINDI: Rescue personnel informed News on Sunday that a passenger bus that had fallen into a ditch had resulted in at least 25 fatalities and one injured person.
According to the sources, the bus was carrying thirty people from Haveli Kahuta to Rawalpindi when it was involved in an accident close to the Pana bridge.
The accident happened in a mountainous area of Rawalpindi’s Kahuta tehsil, but the cause is yet unknown.
Speaking to News, Muhammad Zaka, the Station House Officer (SHO) for Kahuta, stated that the accident happened close to Azad Pattan Road, which is within the town’s boundaries.
The bodies have been removed from the bus and relocated, and the authorities, police, and emergency personnel are all at the scene of the event.According to law enforcement, a few of the individuals have been recognized.
President Asif Ali Zardari sent his condolences to the families of the deceased and conveyed his sadness over the deaths caused by the disaster.
