According to the Dutch airline KLM, the plane was carrying people on flight KL1341, and it was headed for Billund, Denmark.
The business issued a statement saying, “We are currently taking care of the passengers and employees who witnessed the incident at Schiphol.”
KLM added the sentence, “the circumstances are currently under investigation.”
The engine of the airplane was running when the victim died, according to Dutch media, suggesting the aircraft was about to take off.
A spokeswoman stated that a Royal Military Police investigation has not yet revealed the person’s identity.
The representative went on to remark that it was premature to determine if this was a suicide attempt or a “incident”.
In addition, he said that everyone on board, including the crew and many of the witnesses, had safely departed the aircraft.
Schiphol Airport posted about the incident on the news, calling it “horrible” and saying, “We care for the passengers and colleagues who witnessed this.”
On Schiphol’s website, the flight to Billund, which was supposed to depart at 2.25 pm, actually left at 2.59 pm.
