According to The News, a police policeman named Rana Kashif has been arrested by the Crime Investigation Agency’s (CIA) Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC). Kashif is suspected of leading a gang that steals luxury cars from wealthy neighborhoods in Karachi.
A police statement claims that the group was behind other car snatching instances, including one involving a high-end vehicle belonging to a well-known TV starlet and another involving a car from Ferozabad.
Additionally, the suspect’s official weapons and drugs were confiscated by the AVLC. According to reports, the accused cop admitted to stealing more than two dozen cars, which his associates subsequently sold in Balochistan.
