According to police, on Monday night, armed individuals shot at Bashir Ahmed Muhammad Hasni’s car as he was driving home in the Bhawani neighborhood of Hub district, gravely wounding him.
After learning of the event, police raced to the scene and took the injured PPP leader to Hub’s Jam Ghulam Qadir Memorial Government Hospital.
But while receiving medical attention in the hospital, the PPP leader passed away from his wounds. The attack has been referred to as target killing by the police.
