SARGODHA: After the victim’s medico-legal report verified the alleged rape, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) who was accused of raping a female student was suspended.
Since then, the police have taken departmental action against the detained policeman who sexually assaulted a woman whose father they had arrested for drug-related offenses with the assistance of his private guard.
The district police officer (DPO) has reportedly appointed a two-person investigative team to look into the matter, and the group has been given instructions to finish its report within a day.
In the past, the police carried out raids in order to apprehend the suspects.
This happened after a complaint was filed at the Kotmomin police station accusing the officer of raping the woman, a student.
