According to police in the Canadian city of Vancouver, a suspect was shot dead and two persons were stabbed.
Police were called to a restaurant on Wednesday early after receiving a report of a guy stealing drinks while brandishing a knife.
The two attack victims were transported to a hospital. It is not thought that their injuries are life-threatening.
The deceased suspect has not been identified by the police.
A caller “reported a man had stolen alcohol and was armed with a knife” inside a restaurant close to the city’s central library, according to a statement from Vancouver Police.
Officers discovered the armed man at a neighboring convenience shop upon their arrival.
After that, the unidentified suspect was shot and placed under arrest.
