Since it opened its doors to snowsports lovers in 1977, The Lecht 2090 is asking its patrons to donate a lift pass in order to ensure the resort’s survival until 2025 and beyond.
The center was founded by his father Pieter du Pon and the late James McIntosh. Iain du Pon, the managing director, told News that the most recent winter had “been awful.”
He said there would have been almost no outdoor activity at all if it weren’t for the center’s artificial snow factory and cannons, which kept the lower slopes blanketed in snow.
