NEW YORK: In addition to other infractions, a 26-year-old man was detained and charged on Monday with murder in connection with the targeted shooting of a health insurance executive on the streets of New York.
According to court documents AFP was able to view online, Luigi Mangione was accused in New York on suspicion of one case of murder, two charges of second-degree illegal possession of a weapon, one act of second-degree possession of a falsified document, and one count of third-degree possession of a weapon.
Mangione was still being questioned by investigators in relation to the heinous murder that made headlines around the world and sparked a worldwide manhunt last week.
After 6:00 p.m. (2300 GMT) on Monday, he showed up at a Pennsylvania court wearing a dark sweatshirt, and Altoona police escorted him inside.
