KARACHI: Rescue and police authorities told Geo News on Wednesday that a three-year-old girl died in a horrific incident in the city’s Federal B Area (FB Area), and a post-mortem examination confirmed that the youngster had also been raped.
According to the post-mortem report, the victim was strangled to death, the police claimed.
As rescue workers fight to maintain peace and order in the metropolis, the youngster has been identified as Amna, daughter of Abdul Basit, they added.
According to Zeeshan Siddiqui, the Central Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the youngster departed from home following her brother and sister, who left for school in the morning.
At 7:30 am, the girl was discovered deceased a short distance from her residence.
