Several roads leading to Sea View will be closed on New Year’s Eve between December 31 and January 1, 2025, according to a plan announced by Karachi Traffic Police on Monday.
On New Year’s Eve, security would be on high alert around the city due to the implementation of Section 144, which forbids the use of fire crackers, firearms, and aerial fire for two days.
Regretfully, despite the authorities’ efforts to take various precautions, a number of individuals are killed or seriously injured in celebratory firing on New Year’s Eve every year.
People would travel to amusement parks, therefore the traffic police advised residents of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) to take alternate ways to get there.
