HUB: A truck carrying pilgrims on their way to the Shah Noorani shrine crashed into a ditch in Balochistan’s Hub district, leaving more than 50 injured and 18 dead.

Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, verified 17 deaths during his visit to the Trauma Center of the Civil Hospital. He also mentioned that at least 52 injured people were admitted to the hospital, 40 of them were released.

At the Trauma Center, five injured people are on ventilators. The injured people’s health will be crucial as long as they are on the vent, he stated.

Two injured youngsters are receiving treatment at the National Institute of Child Health (NICH), according to CM Murad.

“Every attempt will be made to offer the injured the best medical facilities.”

He revealed to reporters that the majority of the unfortunate car’s occupants were stone crushers from impoverished backgrounds.

“Our primary concern was to shift the people to the hospitals and provide them with treatment when the incident took place last night,” CM Murad stated in response to a question regarding the tragedy’s cause. Since the disaster happened in Balochistan, which is under their authority, they will look into what caused it.

He said that former legislator Jam Awais Jokhio is working with the victims’ relatives to help them.
