Israel has carried out “relentless and deliberate attacks on medical personnel and facilities” in the last year, according to Navi Pillay, a former UN high commissioner for human rights who is chairing the investigation.
On October 30, Ms. Pillay will give a comprehensive report on the subject to the UN General Assembly.
Before the publication of the declaration, the speaker expressed that “Children in particular have borne the brunt of these attacks, suffering both directly and indirectly from the collapse of the health system.”
According to the UN investigation’s report, Israeli soldiers have also been accused of purposely killing and torturing medical.
It used the death of five-year-old Hind Rajab, a Palestinian girl, and six other family members who perished in February while attempting to escape fighting in Gaza, as an example.
While attempting to save them, two medical professionals also perished.
A representative for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Nebal Farsakh, told News that she did not believe the fatalities were accidental.
