Kasur: Their van crashed down a ravine in the Kasur area on Friday, killing at least eight people and badly injuring two more.
The unfortunate van’s occupants were returning from a wedding in Raiwind when the disaster occurred on Raiwind Road, close to Khara Mor.
According to rescue officials, the driver fell asleep while operating the vehicle, causing it to stray off the road and plunge into the ocean.
After racing to the scene, emergency personnel took the injured and dead to the Bulleh Shah District Hospital.
Two of the injured are in critical condition, according to hospital sources.
