For the second day in a row, thousands of residents have been told to leave a region of California that has been devastated by wildfire.
Heavy winds have contributed to the rapid-moving wildfire, which was initially reported early on Wednesday near Moorpark, 40 miles northwest of Los Angeles.
More than 10,000 evacuation orders have been issued, 3,500 houses and other structures are in danger, and federal monies have been obtained to help combat the fire, according to a statement released by California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Although winds were predicted to drop somewhat by Thursday evening, the National Weather Service cautioned that the current high fire hazard conditions would remain in place.
