Emergency authorities found forty-year-old Martina Karos and eight-year-old Eleni Edwards yesterday following allegations of welfare concerns at the residence.
According to Greater Manchester Police, there are no suspicious circumstances and no one else is being sought in relation to the deaths.
Eleni was born with problems, a close family friend informed News, and her mother, an Italian-Polish woman, had talked about her own struggles in the previous year.
Tuesday saw a police cordon still in place outside the home in Salford’s calm South Radford Street, which is bordered by wetlands.
There was still a wheelchair-accessible car in the house’s driveway.
Many neighbors, some of whom claimed that their kids attended the same school as Eleni, gave flowers, cards, and plush toys to the police to put outside the house along the fence.
Living across the street, Milana Kleina said she would frequently greet and wave to the couple while walking her son to school.
She said she used to greet Eleni with “hello, princess” on a regular basis.
“It is so shocking,” she said to News. Even though I didn’t know them well, they seemed to be in good health.
“Everyone in the neighborhood is quite depressed about this. We have never had a situation quite like this.
