After veteran defensive end Davon Godchaux expressed his opinion that the four-time league MVP appeared to be “struggling” on the field, Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, acknowledged on Tuesday that he “probably” was moving slowly during Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots.
Despite completing 17 throws for 233 yards and two scores, the 40-year-old Rodgers appeared to be a different version of himself, according to his opponents.
After the game, Godchaux told reporters in the locker room, “Yeah, I think he’s struggling right now.” “It’s terrible to see a Hall of Fame quarterback die like that. He certainly doesn’t look the same, though. Back there he continued to move. S— I could catch him by running him down. He doesn’t appear to be at all mobile. We benefited from that. This past weekend, the Jets suffered their sixth consecutive defeat at MetLife Stadium as the Patriots came back to defeat them 25–22.
