According to Barrister Aqeel Malik, Minister of State for Law and Justice, the US government has not yet implemented a complete ban on Pakistani people visiting the US, although it may do so in the future.
His comments coincide with rumors that the administration of US President Donald Trump is contemplating a new travel ban that might apply to Pakistan and Afghanistan after a government assessment of security and vetting threats.
According to reports, these new limitations are comparable to those imposed on a number of nations with a majority of Muslims during Trump’s first term.
Speaking on News’ “Pakistan” show, he pointed out that although the United States has voiced its concerns about the rise in terrorist-related occurrences in Pakistan, it has not banned Pakistanis from traveling altogether.
