The Chicago Bears traded up from the 20th pick to select Fields with the 11th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Fields entered a quarterback group that included Nick Foles and Andy Dalton, two seasoned players. While Foles was just a few years removed from an unbelievable run that secured the Philadelphia Eagles’ first-ever Super Bowl championship, Dalton had been a starter for ten years.
As per Tyler Dunne’s “Go Long” Substack, Fields’s connection with both of them was “toxic as hell.”
