ISLAMABAD According to a Gallup Pakistan survey, one in three Pakistanis are optimistic about the dialogue process that was started following increased political tensions, despite the fact that the future of the talks between the current government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is uncertain, The News reported on Sunday.
According to a survey with over 400 respondents, 44% of Pakistanis are in favor of the negotiations, while 16% are against them. More than 39% declined to remark at all on the parleys.
The survey was conducted in the midst of the PTI’s refusal to participate in the fourth round of negotiations on the directives of its imprisoned founder, Imran Khan, which was set for January 28 at 11:45 a.m.
