LAHORE: According to Aleema Khan, the sister of Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the government made a proposal to Barrister Gohar, the party chairman, offering the jailed former prime minister’s release in return for planning a sit-in at Sangjani, The News said on Sunday.
Aleema told reporters outside a Lahore anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday that she had been to sessions for three or four cases that day.
She voiced her displeasure with the protracted postponement of the Jinnah House case trial, emphasizing that the trial had not yet begun.
She claims that for the first time, the investigating officer acknowledged the accused’s involvement in the case. “We want the trial for the case, not bail.”
