The third arrest in the case involves a woman who has been charged with the murders of a pregnant Texas teen and her boyfriend, whose remains were discovered in a car in San Antonio last month, according to the authorities.
Myrta Romanos, 47, was taken into custody on allegations of mistreating a deceased person, interfering with evidence, and modifying, destroying, or hiding a deceased person, according to San Antonio Police Lt. Michelle Ramos during a press conference on Wednesday.
According to Ramos, the police think she is the stepmother of the suspect, a 19-year-old, who was detained earlier this month.
On December 26, authorities discovered the bodies of 22-year-old Matthew Guerra and 18-year-old Savanah Soto, both of whom had suffered gunshot wounds, in a car parked close to an apartment building in San Antonio.
