Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling hope that as artificial intelligence continues to permeate the film business, people will still value the humans who work behind the scenes to develop movies.
In their latest film, “The Fall Guy,” Ryan Gosling portrays a stuntman who gets entangled in a covert assignment while assisting on a picture that Blunt’s character is directing.
Gosling stated in an interview with The Times that although though their picture was filmed before the strikes, with artificial intelligence being a big concern, it felt contemporary. The film mainly relies on practical stunts.
“It’s humorous,” Gosling said. “Because we discussed this prior to the strike, but it seemed like the subject was getting ready. Even my character sports a union T-shirt from the IATSE [International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees].
