RAWALPINDI: According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday, a 19-year-old cadet accepted death after an armed terrorist opened fire on a mosque in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The military’s communications wing said in a statement that Cadet Arif Ullah was praying in the mosque at the time of the assault.
It said, “He responded instantly and fought the khwarij bravely as soon as Khwarij started firing.”
“But Gentleman Cadet Arif Ullah accepted martyrdom during the incident, giving his life to save the lives of numerous worshippers who were innocent.”
The military’s media wing also stated that the cadet, who was training at the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul, had taken a leave of absence and returned to his hometown of Lakki Marwat.
