ISLAMABAD Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated on Saturday that the Center has no intention of taking such an action against its rival PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), amid mounting rumors that the governor’s rule may be imposed in the province.
His comments were made just days after the governor’s rule in KP was considered at a recent federal cabinet meeting. According to well-placed sources who spoke to News, the meeting chastised the administration of KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for using “state machinery to attack the Centre” during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) “do-or-die” rally in Islamabad.
