According to people familiar with the situation, journalist Farhan Malick has been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on suspicion of breaking the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
Additionally, they stated that Malick, a former news director of a private TV channel, had his cell phones seized.
According to an X message posted on the handle of Farhan Malick’s YouTube channel, “FIA officials paid an unexpected visit to the channel office yesterday evening. They verbally called Mr. Malick to their office for a hearing today at 1 PM, harassed our staff, and gave no justification for their presence.”
