DHAKA: The interim leader of Bangladesh stated Tuesday that a commercial agreement to supply internet services throughout the South Asian nation is anticipated to be achieved within three months with Elon Musk’s SpaceX-owned satellite broadband network Starlink.
The agreement will offer a dependable internet connection that would not be interrupted by any upcoming political unrest, according to Muhammad Yunus, who has been in charge of Bangladesh’s government since Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was overthrown last year.
After weeks of violent protests prompted Hasina to flee to neighboring India, Yunus, a Nobel winner, assumed leadership of the interim administration in August.
“No government will be able to block internet access or prevent residents from using the digital world once Starlink is deployed.
