For the third time, the £190 million lawsuit against Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, the founders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been “deferred” by an accountability court in Rawalpindi, according to sources cited by News on Sunday.
The verdict was supposed to be announced on Monday, which is today.
The accountability court had reserved the verdict on Dec 18, following the completion of arguments and had appointed Dec 23 to announce the ruling.

However, the ruling was delayed for Jan 6, 2025. The sources indicated that lawyers would be advised of the new date today.
The news coincides with current talks between the federal government and the party founded by Imran Khan, with a third round of talks anticipated between the two parties next week.
