LONDON: According to Pakistan’s ambassador to the UK, Muhammad Faisal, action has been taken against the individuals responsible for the attack on the car of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa at the Middle Temple in London.
“This was a very regrettable situation. The ambassador told reporters in London, “We’ll take it up,” adding that additional steps would be made in accordance with the instructions from the Pakistani government.
A group of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demonstrators stopped and ran over former Chief Justice Isa’s car on Tuesday night as he arrived at a high-profile event hosted by The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple to celebrate his promotion to the position of Callee after he resigned his position as the nation’s top judge.
