Chloe Longster woke up with pain in her ribs and symptoms similar to a cold on November 28, 2022, and was transported to the emergency room of Kettering General Hospital in Northamptonshire.
That night, she was brought to Skylark, a pediatric unit, and intubated there before being sent to intensive care.
But Chloe passed away the next morning.
During Chloe’s mother Louise Longster’s testimony at her daughter’s inquest, assistant coroner Sophie Lomas heard that her daughter’s pain medication was “delayed” at the Northampton Coroner’s Court on Monday.
Her parents declared that their family had been “completely preventable” in the teen’s death.
