Speaking candidly, Dolly Parton discussed her choice to forgo having children during her nearly 60-year marriage to Carl Dean, who died on March 3 at the age of 82.
Parton stated that not having children let her to focus entirely on her career in a 2020 interview that was revived with Oprah Winfrey.
Regarding this, she revealed, “I had freedom because I didn’t have children and my spouse was quite self-sufficient. My success can be attributed in large part to my freedom to work.
