After hours of fierce firefighting, the fire that started late Monday night at a warehouse in Karachi owned by an online food delivery service has been contained.
The warehouse lacked adequate ventilation, according to Chief Fire Officer Humayun Ahmed, who also mentioned that heavy equipment was utilized to breach a warehouse wall so that firefighters could enter the building.
The Chief Fire Officer claims that the warehouse’s management does not have the required Fire No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Firefighters arrived at the location of the fateful storage facility in the port city’s Nazimabad neighborhood, but they were unable to enter because to the high levels of smoke and inadequate ventilation.
