American rapper Doechii has had a very interesting few weeks.
Or, as she put it, “It seems like my dreams are no longer dreams.” They are facts.
She tells Radio 1’s New Music Show, “I feel like I’m walking on the ceiling right now.”
For Alligator Bites Never Heal, the 26-year-old became just the third female musician to win the Grammy for best rap album this year.
“Uh-uh-ooh, uh-uh-ah, uh, uh, ah…” is the catchy “breathin’ exercise” outro from her popular track Denial is a River, and millions of others are attempting to mimic it.
You could understand her want to pause and think after all of that.
