Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened to use the Oreshnik, the nation’s new ballistic missile, to strike decision-making facilities in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
Putin was speaking just hours after Russia used US-supplied Atacms missiles to launch a “comprehensive” attack on Ukraine’s energy grid overnight in retaliation for “continued attacks” on Russian territory.
The “tough response” to any “Russian blackmail” was the warning from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
For the first time since the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Ukraine launched an attack inside Russian territory last week using Atacms and Storm Shadow missiles supplied by the US, UK, and France, after receiving consent from the Western suppliers.
