The Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which was originally planned for this month, has been postponed since party sources have verified that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has departed for Dubai.
The 36-year-old PPP leader is anticipated to leave Dubai for a European tour, according to insiders.
Once he returns to Pakistan, the CEC meeting will be held. Important choices, such as the party’s partnership with the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), were expected to be discussed at the pivotal PPP huddle.
A negotiation committee was recently established by the PPP to settle its disagreements with the federal government. Senior figures Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah are on the negotiation team.
