Posts on social media indicate that Taizhou Zoo opened a new exhibition on May 1st that features “panda dogs.” The new attraction costs 20 yuan (£2.22) for visitors as well.
However, visitors to the zoo in Jiangsu province found that the animals were actually dyed to resemble pandas and were actually chow chows, a canine type from northern China famed for its thick double coat of fur.
Lawyers stated that “inevitably the visitors will feel disappointed and deceived upon discovering the truth” about the show, according to Chinese state media source The Global Times.
