AL-AMERAT: In a virtual quarterfinal of the ACC Emerging Team T20 Asia Cup on Wednesday, the Pakistan Shaheens defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 74 runs, advancing them to the semi-finals.
Mohammad Haris and company bundled out the UAE at 65 runs in 16.3 overs.
Earlier, Haris, who was leading his team from the front, helped them reach a 180-run goal against the UAE with a quick 71 off 49 runs.
After consecutive failures as an opener, Haris dropped down in the batting order, but he still managed to stay in the game until the very end, hitting three maximums and six boundaries.
Following Shaheens’ decision to bat first, Omair Bin Yousuf and Yasir Khan began the innings together.
