RAWALPINDI: Gohar Ali Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed regret on Tuesday that his party was not in contact with any other quarter, citing the government’s failure to form judicial commissions within the allotted seven days.
“It’s regrettable that negotiations were unable to continue. With open arms, we sat with the government. Speaking to reporters outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail, Gohar stated, “We demanded that the judicial commission be announced within seven days.”
He claimed that if judicial commissions had been established, the talks would have proceeded.
For almost a month, the PTI and the ruling coalition have been holding discussions to try to ease political tensions in the nation. So far, the parties have engaged in three rounds of negotiations.
